Presenting the life of a fictitious jazz guitarist in the roaring twenties, Sweet and Lowdown is considered to be among the best of jazz aficionado Woody Allen’s later work. While the actors Sean Penn and Samantha Morton have been nominated for a number of awards including the Oscar and the Golden Globe, the soundtrack of the film presents some of the finest examples of early jazz music.
