Sibel Demir, who is a jazz singer inspired by the genre’s collective power, got swept away by the lure of it while she was studying to become an opera singer. She won a jazz workshop in Pulawy, Poland upon competing at Nardis Young Vocalist Competition 2016, and at the 2018 edition of the same competition, she won a prize to perform at the Istanbul Jazz Festival.
