Nezih Yeşilnil had his start in music by playing mandolin and guitar at an early age. Upon obtaining a double bass in 1980, he ventured into jazz, to which he nurtured great interest. As well as touring across Europe three times with Jak & Janet Esim Ensemble and being a part of the band that represented Turkey at Eurovision ’96, Yeşilnil worked with the likes of Erol Pekcan, Nükhet Ruacan, Tuna Ötenel, Neşet Ruacan and Önder Focan. Internationally renowned, Nezih Yeşilnil shared the stage with many world stars, and he currently continues to make music with his trio as well as playing with various jazz and ethnic music bands.
