2022 marked the 20th anniversary of Young Jazz+. The selected ensembles had the opportunity to perform at the 29th Istanbul Jazz Festival and recorded the Young Jazz+ 22 album after the festival. The album was released on 16 December on local and international digital platforms such as Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer, YouTube Music, Fizy and Muud with Sony Music Turkey label.

Istanbul Jazz Festival's Young Jazz+ programme has been offering young musicians the opportunity to introduce themselves to the audiences and establish direct ties with the industry for 20 years. The album is recordd with the support of the Mehmet Uluğ Fund. Istanbul Jazz Festival is organised with the sponsorship of Garanti BBVA and the support of the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism.

The 2022 Young Jazz+ selection committee consisted of musician Ayşe Tütüncü, musician Cenk Erdoğan, musician Kalben, musician Selen Gülün, musician Volkan Öktem, radio programmer Dr. Hakan Rauf Tüfekçi, writer Yekta Kopan, Sony Music Turkey General Manager Özden Bora, music professional Ahmet Uluğ and Istanbul Jazz Festival Director Harun İzer.
