Brother of the jazz legend Nat ‘King’ Cole, Freddy Cole was born in Chicago in 1931. He grew up listening to the likes of Duke Ellington and Count Basie and Lionel Hampton. Likened to his brother Cole, Freddy Cole’s tone of voice has been compared to that of such great vocalists Frank Sinatra and Billie Holiday. He works with one of the musicians of the Cole family Natalie Cole, along with various artists. In 2006 he released Beceuse of You, with the subtitle “Freddy Cole sings Tony Bennett”.
