Sibel Köse is one of the most celebrated jazz vocalists Turkey has to offer, representing Turkey in countless international festivals as well as in Turkey. She has been awarded first prize in the International Jazz Vocalists contest held in the city of Zamosc in Poland. She will be joining forces with her Trio, Cem Aksel on the drums and Erdal Akyol on double bass, at this year’s Jazz Festival with world-famous Dutch pianist Michiel Borstlap. Winner of the prestigious Thelonious Monk award of the jazz world, Borstlap is also the composer of the first ever operatic work in Arabic.
