Their album 5 O’clock Tea, released last year drew the interest of music lovers in Sweden and across Europe. The South Maxico team is fronted by the experienced guitarist Max Schultz and consists of four musicians, including Turkish drummer Mehmet İkiz. The band mingles melodic and rhythmic structures of various musical styles like funk, reggae and blues with jazz, producing a vivid synthesis. A group of four with two guitarists, South Maxico have an extraordinary mix of instruments.
