The Big 3 Palladium Orchestra’s roots go back to the 50’s when America fell in love with mambo. Those years, Machito, Tito Rodriguez and Tito Puente, known as “The Big Three” were among the greatest mambo musicians of the time. Located in Broadway swarmed by masses of people, the Palladium Ballroom was the temple of mambo until its closure in 1966. Taking over the mantle in the 21st century, Machito’s son Mario Grillo (Machito Jr.) set up The Big 3 Palladium Orchestra with the help of the Puente and Rodriguez families. Composed of Tito Puente, Machito and Tito Rodriguez’s groups, the “big band” continues to give concerts across the world under the direction of Machito Jr. and Tito Rodriguez Jr. Mambo lovers should avoid missing this sensational concert at all costs!
