Established in 2007, following its members completing the Berklee in Umbria certificate programme in Italy, A.K.A. Trio comprises Alper Yakin trained in flamenco guitar and jazz, Alper Sonat who received piano and bass education, and Koray Kaplan on drums.

Established in 2006 lead by Faruk Murat Yatmaz who studies jazz in Amsterdam, the quintet first performed publicly in February 2009. The group amalgamates latin jazz, fusion, drum’n’bass and Turkish music.

Group members net in 2006 at the vocal workshops of Sibel Köse and Randy Esen, and have played in various formations at clubs since 2007. The group has prepared jazz standards for their performance at Young Jazz.
