Another strong project drawing its inspiration from women’s voices is at the Istanbul Jazz Festival: “Mujeres de Agua,” in other words “Women of Water.” In this fabulous night, the Open Air Theatre will be filled with Mediterranean women artists’ thrilling renditions of the producer, composer and guitarist Javier Limón’s flamenco tunes. Winner of five Latin Grammy awards, Javier Limón is considered one of the most important artists of Spain . Limón’s music embraces genres such as Brazil, Afro-cuban and jazz. Buika from Spain, Aynur from Turkey, Rita from Israel and Glykeria from Greece are among the participants of this parade of Mediterranean divas, bringing music lovers together.
