URAZ KIVANER QUARTET FEAT. MARCO TAMBURINI

Piano meets trumpet in a full-blown jazz music concert. Jazz pianist Uraz Kıvaner and his quintet will be playing with trumpeter Marco Tamburini. Throughout his career, Kıvaner has worked with important jazz artists from Turkey and the world. He released his album Pieces in 2012. Marco Tamburini is a master musician who has recorded 10 albums as a leader and also known for his collaborations with Marcello Tonolo. Tamburini has also performed with in pop contexts with stars such as Pavarotti, George Michael and Grace Jones.

EVRİM DEMİREL ENSEMBLE FEAT. DAVID KWEKSILBER

An important composer and pianist in Turkey, Evrim Demirel meets with Dutch saxophone bass clarinet virtuoso David Kweksilber. Combining classical Turkish music with jazz with a modern approach, Evrim Demirel also released his album Ada to critical acclaim. Praised for his classical playing as well as his improvisations, Kweksilber is known for his solo Works as well as his appearances with his big band.

OZAN MUSLUOĞLU TRIO FEAT. IVO NEAME

One of the most talented and promising double bass players in Turkey, Ozan Musluoğlu will be sharing the stage with saxophonist and pianist Ivo Neame. Musluoğlu released his third studio album My Best Friends Are Piano Players together with some of the best pianists in Turkey and continues to work as a double bass artist in TRT Jazz Orchestra. Performing with some of the finest jazz groups in the UK such as Phronesis and Kairos Quartet, Neame released his 2012 album Yalta to universal critical acclaim.

ŞENAY LAMBAOĞLU FEAT. MÉDÉRIC COLLIGNON

Gaining recognition in the jazz world with her collaborations and 2012 album İçimde Aşk Var, Şenay Lamboğlu will be accompanied by cornet and saxhorn virtuoso Médéric Collignon. Receipient of the prestigious Django Reinhardt Award of Academie de Jazz in 2009, Collignon’s music is infused with funk, hard rock, jazz-rock, along with jazz.

LLOYD CHISHOLM SEXTET FEAT. LUIGI GRASSO AND NICOLAS DARY

An American jazz trumpeter living in Istanbul, Lloyd Chisholm hosts alto saxophone virtuosos Nicolas Dary and Luigi Grasso. Throughout his career Lloyd Chisholm has worked with legends such as Art Farmer, Barry Harris and Dizzy Gillespie and known as the pioneer of “hard-bop.” A rising star of European jazz, Nicolas Dary shared the stage with top musicians of the French music scene. Luigi Grasso, who has worked with the best of French and Italian music scenes, will accompany them on stage.

ECE GÖKSU ‘MASAL’ FEAT. GREGOIRE MARET

A rising talent, jazz vocalist Ece Göksu will host one of the most sought-after harmonica players of the world, Gregoire Maret and together, they will perform songs from Göksu’s debut album Masal. Göksu, who studied with masters such as Nancy Marano, Cecil Bridgewater and Mulgrew Miller, also provided the vocals for the album Turkish Standards Vol.1. Known for his unique sound and versatile style, Maret also received a Grammy for Best Contemporary Jazz Album with Pat Matheny Group.
