The guests of this year’s series are “Children of Light Trio” formed by world-renown jazz pianist Danilo Perez, bass guitar virtuoso John Patitucci and successful drummer Brian Blade. The trio has also won two Grammys as members of Wayne Shorter’s band. The opening performance of the night is by Derrick Hodge who has produced many Grammy-winning albums. “A Strange Place for Jazz” concerts will be at the beautiful courtyard of the Istanbul High School for the first time in the festival.
