“ViTRin”s focus of this night will be on Turkish composer and saxophonist Korhan Futacı and his Kara Orkestra, as well as Rain Lab, the joint project of Da Poet and İdil Meşe,. Having performed in Europe and the USA with her acoustic solo project, İdil Meşe gained widespread recognition after Acid Pauli has remixed a song that she originally wrote for Oceansvs Orientalis. Her partner Da Poet on the other hand, has been sharing the stage with artists like Gaslamp Killer, Chinese Man, Mount Kimbie, Araabmuzik, and Daedelus. The duo is specialised in trip-hop and hip-hop, and considered among the most successful names of the local scene in their own league. Gained recognition for his lyrics, compositions and saxophone performances on the albums of Tamburada and Dandadadan, Korhan Futacı took part in countless jazz festivals in Turkey and abroad. Having shared the stage with many international artists, Korhan Futacı and Kara Orkestra’s organic unity weaves a rich orchestral pattern like a high-intelligence machine. They offer intergalactic sonic experiences to their listeners.
