Bill Charlap, one of the foremost pianists of contemporary jazz who has shared the stage with masters of jazz including Phil Woods and Wynton Marsalis as well as accompanying the studio recordings of legendary vocalists such as Tony Bennet and Barbra Streisand, will be the guest of the 26th Istanbul Jazz Festival. The Bill Charlap Trio that has consisted of Bill Charlap, double bassist Peter Washington and drummer Kenny Washington for over 20 years, is without a doubt among the most impressive jazz bands of our times. Currently, the Artistic Director of the New York Jazz in July Festival and continuing to organise jazz concerts at the Lincon Center, two-times Grammy award nominee Bill Charlap will be on the stage with his trio.
