Melodies from New Orleans to Küçükçekmece
The contribution of New Orleans to the history of American music and thus to the world of jazz is enormous. Tuba Skinny, founded in New Orleans where cultures from different geographies of the American continent meet, approaches jazz genres such as blues, stomp, ragtime like a big band. The ensemble, which has performed at festivals in countries such as Mexico, Australia, Italy and France, started its musical life on the lively, colourful streets of New Orleans. Playing both the joyful and sad music of the 1920s and 1930s, the dynamic band will meet the guests of Jazz in the Parks at the amphitheatre by the Küçükçekmece Lake, one of the precious lagoons that Istanbul offers to the world. Let’s get the energy we need to finish the week from Tuba Skinny and Young Jazz+ finalists at Küçükçekmece Lakeside Amphitheatre.
