> DETAIL INFOMeltem Ege will perform the long-awaited Turkish premiere of her new album Solitude at the 32nd Istanbul Jazz Festival.
A jazz vocalist, composer, academic, and pianist who has proudly represented Türkiye in numerous international competitions during the early years of her career, Meltem Ege is now recognised as one of the most respected names in the global jazz community. Based in Los Angeles, she teaches at the California Institute of the Arts and combines her classical piano background and expertise in jazz vocals with experimental music and theatre in her work. In addition to managing international projects, she has accompanied many symphony orchestras as a soloist and has performed at prestigious jazz festivals and concert halls. In 2012, she released the Songbook album with Önder Focan.
Meltem Ege will present the exciting Turkish premiere of her new album Solitude, recorded between two continents and in two languages, at the 32nd Istanbul Jazz Festival. She will perform tracks from the album, featuring influences of both jazz and classical music, as well as hard rock, joined by her musician friends. Another exciting highlight of the concert will be the performance of beloved jazz standards from Meltem’s repertoire, along with other delightful surprises.
