> DETAIL INFOWorld-renowned percussion virtuoso Ayhan Sicimoğlu takes the stage with the Harikalar Bandosu, bringing rhythm, colour, and boundless energy to the festival.
Ayhan Sicimoğlu’s musical journey began at an early age with accordion lessons at home, yet his heart has always belonged to the drums. During his years at Tarsus American College, he stepped behind the drum kit and never looked back. After moving to England to study photography, he performed with various small bands and later with Kokomo, expanding his musical horizons.
A defining chapter of his life unfolded in Rome, where he met drummer Toni Esposito. Performing with Esposito’s band La Banda del Sole, Sicimoğlu immersed himself in the city’s vibrant, multicultural music scene and fell in love with Latin rhythms. That passion became his lifelong compass. He mastered the conga and became a familiar presence in New York’s legendary Latin clubs. He refined his craft at Berklee College of Music and shared his passion with audiences through his radio programme ‘Latin Lover’ on Açık Radyo. With the founding of Latin All Stars orchestra, he left a lasting imprint on Turkish music history, creating timeless performances and two iconic albums bringing together artists such as Özkan Uğur, Fahir Atakoğlu, Aydın Esen, Mirkelam, and many more.
Now, with his signature sound he calls ‘Turcolatino’, an electrifying stage presence, and the dynamic Harikalar Bandosu by his side, Ayhan Sicimoğlu promises a performance that is both powerful and heartfelt.
