The 33th Istanbul Jazz Festival turns up the heat with a Brazilian Night welcoming Mari Froes for her very first concert in Türkiye.

Singing in Portuguese, Mari Froes connects audiences from Morocco to the Netherlands through South Africa to India. Blending the global rise of MPB (Música Popular Brasileira) and samba with her natural talent and warm, and deep vocals, Froes creates an atmosphere that transcends borders. Paired with the melodic flow of Portuguese, her music places the 23-year-old artist firmly among the most exciting rising voices in contemporary Latin music.

Mari Froes first captured attention through intimate acoustic videos, covering her favourite songs with guitar in hand. Her breakout moment came with her viral rendition of Baco Exu do Blues’ ‘Girassóis de Van Gogh’, reaching millions of listeners worldwide. Since then, her debut singles ‘Moça’ and ‘Rosa e Laranja’ (2019) and her first EP Nebulosa (2020) have marked a remarkable journey. Her collaboration with French electronic duo Trinix, ‘Vaitimbora’, became one of 2025’s standout tracks, further cementing her status as a rising star.

Blending bossa nova, samba and MPB with touches of jazz and rock, Mari Froes glides effortlessly between genres, making every live performance vibrant, unexpected and deeply immersive. After captivating sold-out crowds on her third European tour, she now brings her sun-soaked sound to Istanbul, promising a night filled with rhythm, warmth and celebration.
